- On’s Technica established (Moriguchi, Osaka Prefecture)
- Began designing and installing sound and audio-visual systems for concert halls

- Astroserve Ltd. established (Minoh, Osaka)
- Developed microprocessor-controlled circuit boards in-house
- Developed A/V switcher circuit boards
- Began video conferencing system installation and support work
